Service Cancellation Clause:
Either party may terminate this agreement by providing written notice to the other party at least thirty (30) days prior to the desired termination date. In the event of cancellation, the client agrees to pay for any services rendered up to the termination date. Imperium will complete any outstanding services scheduled before the termination date. Any outstanding balances must be settled within fourteen (14) days of the termination date. The client may be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to one month's service fee if the contract is terminated before the initial term is completed. Upon termination, any confidential information shared during the course of the agreement will be returned or destroyed as per the client's instructions.
1. **Payment for Services Rendered**: When a client decides to terminate the cleaning service, they are typically required to pay for any services that have already been rendered up to the termination date. This could include services completed during the current billing cycle or any additional services provided beyond the regular schedule.
2. **Final Invoice**: Imperium should provide a final invoice detailing the services provided up to the termination date, along with any outstanding balances owed by the client. This invoice should be sent promptly after receiving the termination notice.
3. **Payment Terms**: The contract should specify the payment terms for outstanding balances upon termination. Typically, clients are required to settle any outstanding balances within a specific timeframe, such as fourteen (14) days from the termination date. Clear payment instructions should be included in the final invoice.
4. **Late Payment Consequences**: If the client fails to settle the outstanding balance within the specified timeframe, late payment consequences may apply. This could include late fees, interest charges, or other penalties outlined in the contract.
5. **Cancellation Fee**: In some cases, a cancellation fee may be applicable if the client terminates the contract before the initial term is completed. The contract should clearly outline the amount of the cancellation fee, if any, and when it will be due.
6. **Return of Confidential Information**: Upon termination of the cleaning service, any confidential information shared between the parties should be handled appropriately. This may include returning or destroying sensitive documents, keys, access codes, or other proprietary information as per the client's instructions.
7. **Final Walk-Through**: It is recommended to conduct a final walk-through with the client before the service termination to ensure that all outstanding issues are addressed, and the client is satisfied with the last cleaning service provided.
